” My strategy for developing good research is to take it step by step!

Rachel LE MAROIS

I am studying invisible disabilities at work (e.g., chronic pain, learning disorders, neurodevelopmental disorder, cancer, AIDS, Crohn’s disease, chronic migraines, psychological disorders…). I am a Ph.D. candidate in management at emlyon business school and in sociology at Sciences Po Paris. My research intersects human resources, disability studies, critical sociology of inequality at work and entrepreneurship. Utilizing qualitative methods, my study aims to conduct personally relevant research that analyzes governmental and organizational policies, organizational factors influencing the disclosure of invisible disabilities in the workplace, and the outcomes for Persons With Invisible Disabilities (PWID) who opt to leave salaried employment to start their self-enterprises.
